SexTalk
for Parents programs are conducted by Lea Shaw, a health professional with over
twenty years experience in reproductive and sexual health. She has worked in Australia,
Asia and the Pacific to promote healthy sexuality through educating other health
professionals, planning for and implementing appropriate and innovative reproductive
health strategies, and most importantly, providing sexuality education directly
to community groups. She is currently contracted to the Australian Government
(AusAID) to monitor and review health aid projects in Asia and the Pacific.
Lea
has a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology, education and journalism; a Masters
in Tropical Health and training as a community family planning educator. She is
a former Director of the Board of Family Planning Queensland, a former member of Family
Planning Australia's International Advisory Committee and a former LifeLine counsellor.
Lea
began her work as a community-based educator 25 years ago in Toowoomba, working
with parent, youth and other groups. Read a recommendation
